ACKNOWLEDGING THE LORD
Psalm 24:1-2 (NIV)
Of David. A psalm.
1 The
earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it,
the world, and all who live
in it;
The worshippers were reminded of the fundamental truth
that God owns everything.
2 for
he founded it on the seas
and established it on the
waters.
He owns it because He is the Creator of everything that exists.
Because Yahweh creates and sustains the world, it is his in the sense that it depends totally on him for its continued existence—and he exercises authority and judgment over it. ---Gerald H. Wilson, NIVAC
BE READY TO BE WITH THE LORD
Psalm 24:3-6 (NIV)
3 Who may ascend the mountain of the Lord?
Who may stand in his holy place?
4 The one who has clean hands and a pure
heart,
who does not trust in an idol
or swear by a false god.
5 They will receive blessing from the Lord
and vindication from God their Savior.
6 Such is the generation of those who seek
him,
who seek your face, God of Jacob.
THE LORD GOD, THE KING IS COMING
Psalm 24:7-10 (NIV)
7 Lift up your heads, you gates;
be lifted up, you ancient doors,
that the King of glory may come in.
8 Who is this King of glory?
The Lord strong and
mighty,
the Lord mighty in battle.
9 Lift up your heads, you gates;
lift them up, you ancient doors,
that the King of glory may come in.
10 Who is he, this King of glory?
The Lord Almighty—
he is the King of glory.

Revelation 22:12-15, 20 (NIV)
12 “Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done. 13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End. 14 “Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city. 15 Outside are the dogs, those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood
20 He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon.”
Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.
“Be careful with what you have and who you are; they’re not yours.
The true owner has expectations for how you should use them, and you will be held accountable.”
